The LTEM Boot Camp
The LTEM Boot Camp is the world’s preeminent workshop on LTEM and Learning Evaluation. Participants learn about LTEM and how it’s being used to improve learning evaluation and learning design and development. In addition, the Boot Camp looks at critical learning-evaluation fundamentals, performance-focused learner surveys, scenario questions, evaluation designs, and so much more. This is truly a one-of-a-kind learning experience–not to be missed if your job involves learning evaluation.

Presentation
Science
The Presentation Science Workshop is based on the idea that every presentation–whether it’s a training presentation, a sales pitch, a debriefing, or a report to executives–can be made more effective if it’s designed as a learning experience. Speakers need to engage the audience, ensure they fully comprehend the main points, help them remember, and prepare them to take action. In the workshop, participants will learn now to use learning-science practices to radically improve their presentations.
Learner
Surveys
The Performance-Focused Learner Survey Workshop–based on Will Thalheimer’s legendary award-winning book–prepares participants to build research-informed learner surveys. In the workshop, participants learn how traditional smile sheets are ineffective, not correlated with learning results. They learn what a good learner-survey question looks like and how to use them. They also learn how to use the distinctive-questioning approach to get good data and also send stealth messages to nudge and educate stakeholders.
Learning
Transfer
The Learning Transfer Workshop is based on Will Thalheimer’s years of research on the learning and performances sciences, including practical wisdom gained from his seminal review of the transfer research. In this workshop, participants learn to design for more than comprehension and move to support remembering, provide after-learning follow-through, and use context-based triggers to spur work performance. In addition, participants learn how to use LTEM–The Learning-Transfer Evaluation Model–to measure and support transfer.
Scenario
Questions
The Scenario Question Workshop teaches and prepares participants to write scenario questions to both support learning and as a tool to measure learning outcomes. Will Thalheimer has decades of practical experience writing scenario questions and managing others in writing scenario questions. In this workshop, practical guidance is shaped by research-informed recommendations and frameworks like the SEDA model. Writing good scenario questions is harder than it looks, but this workshop gets people started on their way to effective questions.
